Introduction to 2016 Lenten Blog
Hello everyone and welcome to my 2016 Lent Devotional Blog. Beginning on Ash Wednesday, February 10th, and continuing through Easter Sunday, March 27th, I will be posting devotional thoughts based on the ELCA World Hunger Devotionals provided to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. I am looking forward to hearing what the scriptures and a variety of authors have to say about issues of hunger and how we might respond. I love daily calendars, and I was immediately captivated by the beginning of this ELCA devotional resource. Rev. Strickland's call to live a life of gratitude and service in harmony with our neighbors is magnified by Walter Brueggemann's poem: a stunning reminder that we are to sing about God's grace and never be silent.
