26th day of Lent- John 14:10-12

10"Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own; but the Father who dwells in me does his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; but if you do not, then believe me because of the works themselves. 12 Very truly, I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father."  John 14:10-12

Poet Joe Davis provides today's devotion based on the words "God is Within Us."   God is with us.  God is with us in love.  God is "the first breath to stretch across a bridge from a dark abyss to impart a kiss pressed against the empty lips of existence."  God is in us.  "An awestruck wonder underneath the involuntary movement of heart or blood or lungs ..."  God is with us.  God is in us.  Even as Jesus was in the Father, and the Father in Jesus, so also is God within us.  For that reason, Jesus tells his disciples, "the one who believes in me will also so the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father." John 14:12.  We are the ones called to do the works of God on earth at this time. May it be so, knowing God is Within Us."
